Established in 1993, the Boston Children’s Hospital Archives Program acquires, preserves and makes available the historical records that document the ongoing history of Boston Children’s Hospital, its staff and personnel, patients and families, and community.
The archives maintains a wide variety of collection materials, including; personal papers, departmental records, letters, photographs, oral histories and more. These primary materials document the evolution of the institution and attest to Boston Children’s many ground-breaking contributions to pediatric healthcare, teaching and research. The collections mirror the institution’s policies, organization and culture — and capture the spirit of an era.
